Location: Rancho Mirage
Why go: Run by the Hollywood Professional Association and classed as the most important event of the year, HPA Tech Retreat attracts the world’s brightest minds in engineering, technology, creativity and business. Explore and debate ideas around future technologies and trends during formal presentations and more casual get-togethers. The 2023 lineup includes speakers from Walt Disney Studios, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Universal, Google, Adobe and the European Broadcasting Union.

Why go: It’s the ultimate marketplace for the media, broadcast and technology industries, and everyone who’s anyone will be there! This year is especially significant, being the NAB Show Centennial.
2023 NAB Show promises plenty of parties, events and other activities to mark 100 years of media evolution, innovation, and showcase how it’s shaping the next generation of media and entertainment.
The convention is organized around three key stages in the content lifecycle: Create, Connect and Capitalize whilst a fourth category, Intelligent Content, spotlights data, AI and automation.

Why go: The Media Production & Technology Show is the UK’s largest media and broadcast industry event. It attracts 10,000 attendees and covers all aspects of broadcast content creation and technology, including pre-production, production, virtual production, post, distribution and audio.

Why go: CABSAT has a 28-year history and unites over 14,000 professionals from the digital, content and media markets in the MEASA region. From content creation, to production & broadcast and satellite & distribution, CABSAT’s 340+ global exhibitors will have plenty of innovative solutions on show.
If that’s not enough, Integrate Middle East is a co-located event taking place during CABSAT for the global professional AV and media technology community.

Why go: More than 400 Brazilian and international brands are showcased at SET EXPO, which is Latin America’s premier business and technology event for broadcast and new media. 14,000+ people attended last year’s fair and congress. The SET EXPO programme covers the entire media and entertainment market production chain, from creation to delivery.

Why go: Billed as the world’s most inspiring content and tech event, International Broadcasting Convention gathers the global media, entertainment and technology industry. It’s where the latest technology and biggest company news is shared.
With exhibitors, speakers and visitors from more than 170 countries, IBC is a show that’s not to be missed. 37,000 people attended IBC2022 and the organizers have booked an additional show hall for 2023.
Dates: October 17 - 20, 2023
Why go: The International Federation of Television Archives brings the world’s audiovisual archive professionals together at its annual conference, to explore the industry’s latest challenges, lessons and solutions under an overarching theme.
Dates: November 8 - 9, 2023
Why go: It’s the pre-eminent business intelligence event for the media industry, and features senior executives from more than 30 major media companies. Suppliers and content providers will gain exclusive intelligence about the organizations’ priorities.
An invitation-only Executive Summit is held on the eve of the Leaders’ Briefing, featuring selected executives from the content provider community.
Dates: November 14 - 16, 2023
Location: Abu Dhabi
Why go: Global Media Congress is a flashy newcomer to the Middle East’s annual trade show calendar, with the first event held in 2022.
GMC features a program delivered in multiple languages with sessions covering AI & data, disruptive technology, media trends and forecasts among others. International exhibitors showcase the latest products in broadcast, content production technology, equipment and hardware and social media. More info here.
